Yoga For All is Newcastle’s greatest Pay-What-You-Can yoga studio in two locations at Bolton Street and Hunter St. I’ve spent many chilly Winter morning sitting on the steps of the Bolton Street studio waiting for the 6am class to start. All the time watching and listening to the gentle bustle of inner city Newcastle as it starts to come to alive for the day. Yoga For All is Pay What You Can, recommended range is $5 to $20, timetable is on the website site, just pick something that sounds fun and show up. Everyone who doesn’t do yoga regularly tends to avoid it because they aren’t flexible enough, but no-one cares, there is no judgement except for what your ego creates for yourself.
Bolton Street has a cosy and calming candle-lit atmosphere and hosts many of the 4-6 weeks events catering to every element of the human body including yoga for surfers, mums and bubs, anatomy workshops, beginner and introductory workshops, stretching and many random and fun opportunities. Hunter Street is a more energetic and crunchy environment with flamingos and pigeons, great for more energetic larger classes and for going to One Penny Black or Dougheads afterwards.
ADDIT: Everyone develops the overwhelming desire to flatulate at yoga on occasion, just let it out people, surely we can evolve beyond such social restrictions. Besides, Farts are funny.
